The smooth panel surface allowed for my brush strokes to speak. The white surface forces the painter to push darks. This was painted plein air in the Bear Lake parking lot in Rocky Mountain national Park. The winds was very present so this was one of those paintings done with one hand holding the panel and the other free to paint!
